Woodcroft is located in the area of Pool in Wharfedale West Yorkshire. It is a detached Edwardian villa built in 1905 from stone with black and white timber detailing (Mock Tudor.) The house, although generous in its plan and accommodation, suffered from a tiny bathroom. The clients approached us to see if we could help them with this predicament.

The existing bathroom is located on the first floor and benefits from having two external walls. The project entailed building a canter levered steel frame and bolting it on to the existing external walls to provide a larger bathroom footprint. The canter lever accrued over both the external walls. This strategy enabled us to double the size of their bathroom.

To reference the existing black timber detailing, scorched timber planks were used for the external cladding. A modern Mock Tudor (Mock, Mock, Mock Tudor) internal finish was also applied. Razzle Dazzle.
